Summer Cocktail Recipes

11 Summer Drinks: Cocktails, frozen sips, smoothies & More"

Summer is not quite Summer without ice cold drinks! There’s something about the sound of ice clinking in a glass, a pitcher or glasses sweating on the table that just signals Summer has arrived. I’ve rounded some of my favorite Summer drinks across three categories: classic cocktails (including a couple of fresh twists like Strawberry Rhubarb Gin Fizz and Prickly Pear Mojito), frozen blender drinks, and refreshing non-alcoholic sips and smoothies. Many of these can be made ahead or batched for a crowd, which makes them perfect for entertaining. They range from enjoying them with breakfast, brunch, lunch, with appetizers and dinner or simply to beat the heat.

Section 1 — Classic & Fun Cocktails

Classic & Fun Cocktails

These are the tried-and-true cocktails that work for any Summer gathering — from a casual backyard hang to a dressier evening with friends. We have some classic favorites alongside a couple of fresh twists (Strawberry Rhubarb Gin Fizz, Prickly Pear Mojito) that bring something a little different to the table. Most of these can be batched into a pitcher for easy serving. The sangria is a great one to make ahead too!

Section 2 — Frozen Drinks

Frozen Drinks

Nothing beats something frozen and slushie on a hot Summer day. There is a reason 7-Eleven slurpee’s and big gulp drinks are so iconic. You just can’t beat how refreshingly cold and delicious they are. These two frozen drinks are just as refreshing and the perfect drinks for the pool, patio or balcony. We recreated Milestones most famous Peach Bellini which we totally love and we also love anything watermelon (it is basically what keeps us hydrated all Summer long) so this watermelon slushie is on repeat all Summer long! They are alcoholic but can easily be made non-alcoholic for kids or if you prefer a virgin drink- and equally delicious.

Section 3 — Refreshing Non Alcoholic Sips & Smoothies

Refreshing Non Alcoholic Sips & Smoothies

No Summer drink lineup is complete without something everyone can enjoy — including the kids. This section ranges from a bright, classic Strawberry lemonade to two Summer popular smoothies that we make on repeat anytime of the day. You can always make the lemonade a little boozy and less kid friendly by adding a splash of vodka, gin, tequila or prosecco for guests who want it.

Pick 2–3 drinks to set out for their next gathering, mixing alcoholic and non-alcoholic options so there’s something for everyone. What’s your go-to Summer drink?
